Day 1: HAVANA​-Arrival

Service: Welcome and assistance by our local representative, who will be outside at the arrivals area,  holding a sign with your name. He will assist you with your private transfer to the Hotel and money exchange.

Accommodation: Private House. 3 nights.

Meal Plan: None.

This evening you can wander around your accommodation and find some nice restaurants and bars with live music. You can be advised by the owners of your Casa or we can also provide you a list of choices.

Day 2: HAVANA.

Service: 9.00am:  City Tour: Walking tour + Modern Havana in vintage car. Approx 7 hours.

Accommodation: Private House.

Meal Plan: Breakfast.

Description: 9.00am. This  morning  depart  your  homestay  to  explore  Old  Havana  on  a  guided  walking  tour around the cobblestone  streets to see  some  of  this  city’s  fascinating  historical  and  cultural  attractions. Visit the four main squares as well as Obispo Street to admire the oldest colonial buildings and the progress of the restoration project. Advise your tour guide of any particular place of your interest and discuss the possibility of including it during the tour.

After optional lunch, continue the guided tour around New Havana in a beautiful convertible for about 3 hours. You will visit the Revolution Square, Malecón, Vedado and Miramar neighborhoods, as well as the surprising Metropolitan Forest of Havana. End this incredible ride with a cocktail at the National Hotel.

After the tour, you will be taken back to your accommodation. The rest of the afternoon and evening is free.

Day 3: HAVANA.

Service: 8.00am-Viñales full day Tour. Road trip 3 hours long, each way.

Accommodation: Private House.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch.

Description:8.00am: Depart  Havana  on  a guided tour  to Viñales  Valley  in  Pinar  Del  Rio  province known as The Garden of Cuba,  admiring  the  changing scenery along the way.

This is a country side day trip to Viñales, the area where it grows the best tobacco plantations. The  Viñales  Valley, is  a  scenic  panorama  of  cliffs, caves,  hills  (known  as  ‘mogotes’)  and  tobacco  fields. Millions  of  years  ago,  underground  rivers carved  tunnels  through  the  limestone  hills. When the tunnel roofs collapsed, ‘mogotes’ and cliffs were formed. The  red  iron-rich  soil  creates  the  perfect  environment  for  growing  tobacco  and presents a vista of lush green vegetation.

You will visit a tobacco plantation to enjoy a cigar degustation for amateurs and to learn about the process of rolling the famous Cuban cigars. During this visit, you will be allowed to take pictures of the cigar roller.    

Admire the beauty of the Viñales Valley from the Mirador Los Jazmines and visit the Indian Cave.

A typical Cuban lunch is included at the local restaurant Bella Vista, where La Negra opens the doors of her kitchen full of  “homemade” aromas and flavors.

After, return to Havana arriving about 6.00 pm. The rest of the evening is free.

Day 4:TRINIDAD:

Service: 9.00am: Leave Havana-Santa Clara City Tour-Trinidad. Private transfer by taxi. Road trip 8 hours long.

Accommodation: Private House. 2 nights.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch.

Description: This day you start the trip to the center part of Cuba. After a 3 hours’ drive along the motorway, you will reach Santa Clara city. You can ask the driver to stop any time for toilette, a coffee or to stretch your legs.

Once in Santa Clara you will meet our local guide to visit the highlights of the city, mostly connected to the Revolution hero Che Guevara. During the visit to the Museum and Memorial at the Revolution square, as well as the armored train museum, you will learn about his early years, his time in Cuba and his death in Bolivia in 1967.

Get a glimpse of the tranquil provincial life of this city by doing a short walk around the main park where the most beautiful buildings are located.

After lunch at a local restaurant, continue the trip to Trinidad.

This drive will take you off the motorway to drive through small villages, farms and hills. It will take about 2 and a half hours from Santa Clara to Trinidad on a road with very little services available. Please, advise your driver of any needing ahead for him to figure out where to stop.

When you arrive to Trinidad, you will be drop off at your accommodation for 2 nights.

This 80,000 inhabitants’ town, is one of the first 7 villages founded by the Spanish conquistadors and you will feel like traveling back to the 18th century, with Baroque church towers, wrought iron gates, cobbled streets and tiled rooftops. Many of the buildings retain their traditional character and are painted in lovely pastel shades. The surrounding area was one of the main centers of both sugar production and slavery and was frequented by smugglers until the late 1700s. Enjoy a night stroll on your own around the cobbled stone streets full of bars, restaurants and live music.

Day 5:TRINIDAD.

Service: 9.30am: Walking Tour. 2 hours.

Accommodation: Private House

Meal Plan:   Breakfast.

Description: 9.30 am: Depart your Casa with the guide to learn all about the history of this colorful UNESCO heritage. During this walking tour you will visit a local museum and will refresh the hit with the typical drink la Canchánchara. Remember to wear comfortable shoes for the cobbled stone streets.

Ask advise to your tour guide about restaurants for lunch and dinner. It’s plenty around. And also to point out the Casa de la Música, one of the best places to try some salsa! The rest of the afternoon is free, plenty of time to visit Ancon beach,  just 10 km away from the town center. You can organize the trip with the taxi driver.

Day 6: HAVANA:

Service:   9.30am: Trinidad-Cienfuegos City Tour-Havana. Road trip 8 hours.

Accommodation:. Private House. 1 night.

Meal Plan:Breakfast, Lunch.

Description: 9.30am: Say goodbye to Trinidad and get ready to go back to Havana.

On the way, you will visit Cienfuegos city, about 1 and half hour away from Trinidad. Known as the “Pearl of the South”, Cienfuegos is one of the youngest and most beautiful cities in Cuba. Set on a bay that opens to the Caribbean Sea, this provincial city, founded in 1819, displays a strong French influence in its fine neoclassical architecture. The streets are lined with mansions well past their ‘Belle Epoque’.

 You will be met by our local guide for a walking tour around the historical center to see many fine old buildings including the Cathedral, the Town hall  and the Teatro Tomas Terry, an impressive theatre dating from late 1800’s which you can also visit after paying the entrance fee. Continue the tour driving along the sea front  and finish the tour at a local restaurant where you have lunch included.

After lunch, continue your trip back to Havana and check in at your Casa for the last night.

Day 7: DEPARTURE.

Service: Private transfer to the Airport.

Meal Plan: Breakfast.

Description: A taxi will pick you up to take you to the airport 3 hours ahead your departure flight. Please, remember check out is at 12.00. If you are leaving after this time, you can leave the luggage at the house and get change before going to the airport
